Academy of Applied Pharmaceutical Sciences (AAPS): Clinical Research, Drug Safety and Pharmacovigilance Diploma program
This program is designed to develop specialized knowledge and skills required to design and write study protocols, monitor and manage clinical trials and to conduct drug safety and Pharmacovigilance activities including adverse reaction reporting and preparing periodic safety update reports. The program focuses on the global healthcare system as well as the Canadian healthcare system, Canadian regulatory agencies, health care legislation, international guidelines, and standard operating procedures (SOP). Using practical and current real cases, AAPS integrates a unique approach and provides students with the foundation and practical knowledge to formulate a sound clinical development plan; ensure clinical trial data is credible and accurate; and that the rights, integrity and confidentiality of trial subjects are protected.

CITI: The Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI Program) provides high quality, peer-reviewed, web-based educational courses in research, ethics, regulatory oversight, responsible conduct of research, research administration, and other topics pertinent to the interests of member organizations and individual learners.

Humber College: Clinical Research Graduate Certificate Program
Humber’s Clinical Research graduate certificate program focuses on developing the concepts, skills and techniques required to work in the clinical research field. Students will gain knowledge and skills in the planning and management of clinical research including practices related to the organization, execution and monitoring of clinical trials. There is a focus on maintaining good clinical practice (GCP) as presented by the International Conference on Harmonization (ICH), and the importance of data collection, analysis, recording, and auditing - ensuring that clinical trial data are credible and accurate.

McMaster University: Applied Clinical Research Program
The Applied Clinical Research program is designed for individuals seeking to enter the field of clinical research to enhance their knowledge and skills required for employment. Program content is based on common areas of knowledge and skills for clinical research associates and managers as identified by a North American Advisory Board and the competencies of the Internationally-focused Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP).

Michener Institute: Clinical Research Certificate Program
The Clinical Research Certificate program is an online program that responds to the needs of the rapidly expanding field of Clinical Research, creating exciting opportunities for trained professionals. Participants will gain expertise and knowledge in ethics theory and ethical issues related to clinical research, phases and elements of clinical trials, good clinical practices, Health Canada, ICH and Food and Drug Administration regulations and guidelines, Monitoring clinical trials and Quality and Compliance practices, guidelines and regulations in clinical research.

Mohawk College: Research Administration Certificate
This program covers core components of research administration – the funding environment, ethics, integrity and governance, funding proposals, project management, financial management, and contracts and reporting.

Seneca College: Clinical Research Certificate Program
In this one-year certificate program, individuals will learn about research design concepts, analysis and the quality assurance required for daily operations in the clinical research field. Individuals will examine clinical studies across the pharmaceutical, medical device and natural health product sectors that give the competitive edge required in this dynamic industry. In this hands-on program, individuals will work alongside industry professionals and develop a network of contacts ahead of graduation.
